Types of Makita Power tools

Makita tools are varied and come in a number of types and tailored for many different industries. Just like they have the cordless line of Makita tools, they also have the traditional non-cordless types of power tools. It is this kind of one-stop-shop way of production that has made Makita power tools and Makita hand tools such a key player in the manufacturing of construction tools and equipment. One example of the non cordless Makita power tools is the miter saw.

Makita Miter saw

There’s a range of Makita miter saws but to discuss, perhaps we could start with the Makita LS1040. The Makita LS1040 10″ Compound Miter saw with a blade diameter of 10 inches which is very efficient for such a machine. Its total weight is only about 27 pounds so is very compact. It employs a dynamically balanced 15A direct-drive motor that outputs at 4,600 rpm, providing improved performance. Because of the unique blade diameter, this miter saw can cut up to 45 degree on either side, left or right, and cut accuracy is ensured by the engineered aluminum base. There’s also for example the Makita LS1016L 10″ Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw with Laser, and the Makita LS1216L 12-Inch Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw with Laser. There’s also versions of these saws that comes with the Makita miter saw stand, like the LS1016LX and LS1216LX. The Makita LS1016L is also a 10″ miter saw, but has higher capacity and more features when compared to the LS1040. Some notable features include having a crown molding cutting capacity of 6-5/8 inches (vertically nested). The Makita LS1016L also have an exclusive six linear ball bearings that deliver solid, smooth, adjustment-free to improve accuracy. The Makita LS1216L is a 12″ miter saw and is similar to the LS1016L, and of course both models come with the laser guide which helps line up the precise line of cut and to see if the blade is turned.

Makita Angle Grinder

Angle grinders are the other class of Makita power tools produced by the Makita tools company which are not cordless. The Makita 9564CV angle grinder is 4-1/2-Inch SJS Angle Grinder with a 12 AMP motor. The SJS stands for an Super Joint System innovation exclusive to Makita power tools, to protect the gears for longer tool life. The Makita 9564cv has an overall body length of 11-3/4″ and a net weight of 4.0 pounds. The length of the cord is 2.5 meters which is equivalent to about 8.2 feet. The four pound weight allows whoever uses it to be able to work without any kind of strain or fatigue. Its switch is located very conveniently on the tail of the equipment and this makes it very easy to reach and operate. The grinder can be used with a grinding wheel or with a diamond wheel or sanding disc which makes it multi purpose. One of the great features of the Makita 9564cv angle grinder is a five-stage variable speed dial allows the user to choose from 2,800 to 10,500 RPM, matching the RPM to the application.

Another great angle grinder is the Makita 9557NB 4-1/2-Inch angle grinder. This grinder has a powerful 7.5 amp with a high power to weight ratio. This grinder is an incredible piece of equipment because it is so very light yet works just perfectly. It is slender with a nice grip and the best of it yet is that it is not as noisy as the others. Some exclusive features include the labyrinth construction which seals the motor and bearings from contamination.  It can also use alternative power sources with AC/DC switch. Another very similar Makita 4-1/2-Inch angle grinder is the  9557PB, with the P standing for paddle switch. The main difference is that comes with extra large paddle switch for easier use. Makita Circular Saw

Another type of Makita power tools is the circular saw. One of the models of Makita circular saw is the Makita 5007F 7-1/4″ circular saw. This equipment has a motor with 15 AMP and 5800 RPM rating. It has a blade diameter of 7-1/4″ (185mm) and a body length of 17.5 inches (317mm). overall weight for this piece of equipment is 14 pounds and it as a cord length of 2.5meters. The 5007F circular saw also comes with 2 built-in L.E.D. lights and this makes making an accurate cut that much easier. The powerful motor makes it suitable for heavy duty purposes.
